My approach

An integrative approach to health and wellness means taking a look at all of the parts of life and how they relate to the whole.  I work with you to create lasting transformation to the areas of life you are ready to work on; we will explore how all these areas are connected. When you address symptoms without looking at the big picture, it is more difficult to sustain changes.  For example, I can make suggestions for better sleep, but without making some fundamental changes to address the stress and various underlying factors, the quality of sleep generally won't change.  Or the stress will pop out in another way.  Excess stress is one of the main factors impacting the quality of our lives in every conceivable way, and some inconceivable!  When stress is too high, it impacts everything from our sleep, blood pressure, blood sugar, and quality of relationships, to how we manage our time, and even what we choose to eat. Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.

My approach is not to dwell too much on the details or restrictions of good and bad behaviors. Instead, I work with my clients to reduce stress and create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and rewarding.  At what point in your life did you feel most joyful?  Why not feel that way now?!

We will use Co-Active coaching strategies in working together to creating the changes that serve you in reaching your personal and health goals.  We will integrate these changes in leveling up your "game", to create the transformation you desire.  We will design an alliance in creating the changes that serve you - whether transitioning your life to move cross county, new career or the more immediate physical goals of achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing your energy. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and the lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health. These health goals form the foundation in taking your whole life forward, reviving your passion, and igniting joy!!

Bio-individuality™: The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background. I use a personalized, holistic approach to ensure that you will have great success!

Primary Food™: It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It’s not just the food we eat, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. I will support you in achieving all of your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life.

Controlling Stress
Eating whole, nutrient dense foods is only part of the picture, ensuring that your body is properly absorbing and assimilating all of those lovely nutrients is another aspect that we forget to examine. Uncontrolled stress in our life can effect our body’s ability to absorb and assimilate nutrients that we need in order to thrive.  We will also look at those areas where you are feeling that you can use some extra support in getting you past the rough bits.  We all deal with mountains of stress and in has obvious and insidious effects on our health and quality of life.  Together we will design tools that you can use to manage and contain the negative effects too much stress can have on your health, and on those around you.
